The Milwaukee Cup presented by
The Bold Look of Kohler.

Join the Badger Bimmers at Blackhawk Farms Raceway for 3 days of club racing and driver's education.   The event is scheduled for August 15th through the 17th and will include driver's education along with both BMW CCA club racing and Porsche Club of America club racing.  This event is being jointly run by the Badger Bimmers and the Milwaukee Region of the Porsche Club of America (PCA).

Drivers Education (DE)

The driver's education part of this event will be run under the PCA DE rules.  These rules are very similar to those used by the Badger Bimmers for their DE events.  Participation is open only to those who have previous DE experience.  There will only be two groups with a limit of 20 cars per group.  Both BMW and PCA DE participants will be on the track at the same time.

Each DE group will have the following on track sessions:

Friday - Four 20 minute sessions
Saturday - Three 20 minutes sessions and one 30 minute session
Sunday - Four 20 minutes sessions, groups will be combined for the last 2 sessions

There are a number of registration options available for the 3 day event.  You can register for one, two or all three days of the event.  There's also a price break for early registration.

Early registration fees - valid through 7/24/08
Friday - $155, Saturday - $155, Sunday - $145, Friday-Saturday - $275,
Saturday-Sunday - $255, Friday-Sunday - $310

Standard registration fees - valid 7/25 through 8/11
Friday - $195, Saturday - $195, Sunday - $195, Friday-Saturday - $315,
Saturday-Sunday - $295, Friday-Sunday - $350

On-site registration fees - value 8/15 through 8/17
Friday - $235, Saturday - $235, Sunday - $230, Friday-Saturday - $355,
Saturday-Sunday - $335, Friday-Sunday - $390

Registration for this event will open on April 1st and stay open until August 7th.  As with our other DE events, registration will be handled by motorsportreg.com.  Instructions for registering are in this PDF.

If you have questions about this DE event, send Mike Clemens an email or give him a call at 262-242-4173.

Volunteer Opportunities

We are looking for a number of people to help with the event.  We need people to help in the following areas:

1. On-site registration for driver's education participants
2. Timing and scoring assistance for the BMW and PCA club race stewards
3. Assist with race control by recording on track incidents as they occur
4. Assist the grid coordinator with placement of race cars on the grid
5. Assist the club race chairman as necessary

If you are interested in volunteering please, send Mike Clemens an email or give him a call at 262-242-4173.

Trek to the Track and Track Touring

We plan to organize a "Trek to the Track" from both the Milwaukee and Madison areas.  Treks are planned for both Saturday and Sunday.  Besides driving to the track together, there will be an opportunity to do track touring during the lunch hour on both Saturday and Sunday.

A contribution to the event's designated charities will be accepted for track touring.  The charities for this year's event are Second Harvest and The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).

Track touring is open to any car including convertibles and SUVs.  Track touring will take place behind a pace car with a maximum speed of 50 miles per hour.  More information on these plans will be available as we get closer to the event.

Booster Club

You can play an important part in making The Milwaukee Cup an outstanding event by joining The Milwaukee Cup 2008 Booster Club.  For as little as $25.00, you can become a member.  You will receive a certificate of membership, mention in the Immer and Steinlifters (PCA newsletter) and in the race program.  Your membership dues will go toward offsetting the expense of the Saturday night party at the event.  Come join in the fun.  If you want to join, send your check for $25, made payable to Badger Bimmers, to:

Mike Clemens
PO Box 345
Mequon, Wi  53092

Please write "Booster Club" in the memo area on your check.

Sponsorship Opportunities

We are looking for sponsors for the event.  If you or your company is interested in helping to sponsor the event, please send Mustafa Emir an email or give him a call at 414-315-1933.

Club Racing

There will be both BMW CCA and Porsche Club of America club racing during the event.  There will be short, sprint races and enduro races for both clubs.  All of the races will be on Sunday with practice and qualifying on Saturday.  Racers will also participate on Friday in their own test and tune groups.  There won't be racing with BMWs and Porsches on the track at the same time but I'm sure the racing will be exciting.
