Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 6:45 by Mustafa. This meeting was on June 14th and was held at the Mequon/Thiensville library.
Prior Meeting Minutes: April meeting minutes were approved with 2 changes. The Blackhawk event in July is on the 13th and the insurance for the Car Control Clinic comes from K&K not Peterson..
Treasurer's Report: Will presented a report covering May 10th to June 14th. Deposits of $7,471.20 were made along with disbursements of $5,827.18. The balance in the checking account as of June 14th is $10,432.02. We also have a $5,500 CD that has not been cashed.
Membership: National provided a new format report. This report shows that we have a total of 697 current members.
Old Business:
MGA Car Control Clinic – Chris reported that the charge for insurance for the event was $128. He also said that Mike Dains is handling most of the arrangements for the event.
BlackHawk – Mary reported that we 22 signed up for July and 18 for August. She also reported that the insurance problems have been corrected.
Meeting Location – Everyone agreed that the new meeting location will work for the next few months. We have the meeting room at the Mequon/Thiensville library reserved through the September meeting.
Club Race – Mustafa reported that 21 racers have signed up for the event. The cost is $240.00 per racer. Tee shirts will be paid for by International Autos and Concours and Knauz are also making contributions. The fee from Midwest Council for the race is $4,500 and other expenses should come to around $1000.
Club Picnic – Mustafa will look for a place to hold the picnic. A number of parks and the Racine zoo were discussed as possible locations. The tentative date for the picnic is 7/29.
OctoberFast – We discussed the charges for the event and settled on $300 for students for Saturday and Sunday, $50 for instructors for Saturday and Sunday and $175 for everyone that attends on Friday. The charge for the buffet dinner at will be $25. The requirement for 4 or 5 point harnesses on Friday was changed to a strong recommendation. The policy of not allowing convertibles will be continued this year. We will be looking for sponsors for this event. Joe Conway and Mike Clemens will be helping Mustafa with the arrangements.
New business
New Board Member – Joe Conway was elected by the board to fill the seat vacated by Clarence. The board also thanked Clarence for this service. (Clarence will continue to be the newsletter editor.)
June Event – The board decided on Jazz in the park on June 21st. Jay will send an announcement using the email list.
August Event – Edelweiss Cruise scheduled for either 8/18 or 8/25. Mustafa is working on the arrangements.
