Attendance: Mike Clemens, Mary Medo, Dave Herr, Will Duffy, Darcy Yench, Jay Schmidt, Joe Conway, Eric Ivarson

Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 6:45 by Darcy.  This meeting was on August 9th and was held at the Mequon/Thiensville library.

Prior Meeting Minutes: The July meeting was not held due to lack of attendance so there were no prior meeting minutes.

Treasurer's Report: Will presented a reports June 14th to July 12th and July 12th to August 9th.

July report – Beginning balance of 10,423.02, deposits of 4,085.75, disbursements of 4,236.82 giving a balance of 10.271.95 in the checking account. We also have a 5,500 CD.

August report – Beginning balance of 10,271.95, deposits of 15,972.93, disbursements of 3,875.79 giving a balance of 22,369.09 in the checking account.

Membership: Report not available.

Old Business:

Meeting location: Mike will arrange for the Mequon/Thiensville library meeting room through the end of the year.

Club Race: Mike and Joe reported that everything is ready for the race on the weekend of 8/11 and 12.  We have 18 racers pre-registered and everything has been arranged with Midwest Council and BMW CCA.

Picnic: Cancelled due to lack of interest.

Blackhawk: Mary reported that we had 36.5 paid registrations for the July event and have 35 for the August event.  Both events should at least break even. Mary will present a report at the next board meeting.

Edelweiss cruise: Scheduled for 8/18, currently not enough interest. Maybe cancelled, however, we will lose money even if we cancel.

OctoberFast: Mary reported a total of 24 students and 10 instructors have already registered.  We also have 14 people registered for Friday. Announcement for the event will be posted in a number of Internet locations. Further discussion about OctoberFast was tabled until after the adjournment of the board meeting.

New business

Fall tour: Mary suggest a recently published tour that ends at Gills Rock in Door county.  The board approved the suggestion and Mary will research further.  The fall tour is scheduled for 9.15.

Holiday Party: The board approved holding the holiday party at the Astor hotel in January of 2002.

Adjournment: Darcy adjourned the meeting at 7:15. Arrangements and work assignments for OctoberFast were there discussed until 8:20. The next meeting will be held on September 13th at the Mequon/Thiensville Library.
