Tire Tech Session - March 27th
The Badger Bimmers and the Milwaukee Porsche Club have set up joint tire tech session with support from O’Reilly Motorcar. We will be meeting on Saturday March 27th starting at 10 AM. A Toyo tire rep and possibly a Goodyear rep will be joining us to talk about and show what’s new or coming in performance tires.
On the equipment end, Mike Loos of O’Reilly Motorcar has recently installed a Hunter Wheel Vibration Control System. This system uses digital technology to provide Static/Dynamic balancing and applies a load up to 1400 pounds on the tire assembly to simulate the deflection of actual service. This allows the balancing under road load and measures/compensates for variation due to wheel run-out and uneven side wall stiffness and tire tread.
Come by and spend time with the tire experts and get your question answered or just listen and learn. This will be a great source of information for the track junkie or street driver.
Have never been at a driving school? Come by and talk to your club members and find out what the experience is like on the track.
The Tire Tech session will start at 10AM at O’Reilly Motorcar located just north of down town at 324 West Cherry Street in Milwaukee. We will bring in breakfast items and drinks. If you have questions, Call Dave at 262-784-4180 or Email board2@badgerbimmers.org.
I hope to see you Saturday March 27th.
