BBC - North Ave. and Farwell - February 13, 2003
Attendance: Jeff Joy, Darcy Yench, Paul Szedziewski, Mustafa Emir, Steve Werner and Mary Medo
Call to Order: 7:25 pm by Jeff Joy
Secretary's Report: Last meeting was the annual dinner and the only business was the elections results. Approved
Treasurer's Report: Not available
Membership: 18 new members, 822 total members
Old Business:
Elections: President – Jeff Joy, Treasurer – David Schnitzer, Board members – John Lofgren and Steve Werner.
Holiday Party: all in attendance had FUN. A big thank you to Leslie Ivarson for heading the events. Thanks to Mary for helping also. Thanks to all who donated things for the give aways and those who obtained them. We will send thank you letters to those donators.
New Business:
We would like to list the new members joining the club in the IMMER as well as sending out a welcome letter. We will need to get the window stickers to include in the letter.
Mike Clemens and John Morgan will be attending the Driving Conference in Atlanta on Feb. 22-23 as representatives of the Badger Bimmers. They will be able to report to the board at the next meeting.
Discussion about the possibility of doing the IMMER online with those members opting to still get a hard copy to have one. We will still need to print some copies to send to the other chapters. Mustafa will check with National to see if this is acceptable. We could save considerable money doing so that could be used for other things.
Calendar: The driving events are scheduled for Blackhawk Farms on July 11 and August 15. OctoberFAST will again be the first weekend in October 3-5, 2003. We plan to have a calendar meeting at Mustafa's on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2003 at 1 pm.
Mary asked the board for an entry to OFAST to give to the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music for their annual auction. The board agreed. Mary will print up a certificate for the event.
Mary had agreed to handle registration for the Blackhawk events and contact the insurance company to see what the costs are for this year. The track rental has gone up slightly and will wait to set the cost when we find out what the insurance costs are.
Next months meeting will be changed to the Calderone Club, downtown on 3rd and Kilborne on March 13, 2003. Parking should not be a problem in the evening at that location. The owners of the club are also club members. This information needs to be posted on the website and an email broadcast should go out.
Paul has been gathering information about Gingerman's schedule and the possibility of joining with some other venue at that track.
It was suggested that the treasurer might need some software to keep track of the clubs accounting. We will wait to see what David wants to do. All banking mail should be changed to go directly to David instead of the PO Box.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:40 pm. The next meeting will be held on March 13th at the Calderone Club downtown on 842 N. Old World 3rd St. at 7 pm.
