Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 7:05 by Darcy. This meeting was on February 14th, and was held at the The Silver Spring House.
Prior Meeting Minutes: The December meeting minutes were approved.
Treasurer's Report: None.
Membership: 755 members, 11 new, 28 renewing.
Old Business:
Election Results: John Morgan and Mike Clemens were welcomed in as incoming Board Members. Joe Conway was welcomed as the new Secretary. Mary Medo was bid adieu as a board member, and welcomed as an active Badger Bimmer member.
Winter Driving Clinic: Mike Clemens notified attendees that all winter driving clinics had been cancelled because BMW's don't float.
Car Control Clinic: Chris Fredette reported that MGA had increased fees from $500 to $1500, and that the fee at Miller Park would be $800. Several dates were discussed, noting the following best open dates; 06/15, 07/27, 08/24. A motion to hold the clinic at Miller Park was submitted and approved. A discussion to allow Minnesota BMW CCA members and non-members to att a Badger Bimmer Car Control Clinic was held, without resolution.
Bucks Game: The Bucks game outing of March 24th will be posted to the Website and via member e-mail addresses. Deadline for responses is Feb. 20th.
Club Race: Is on the BMW CCA Club Racing calendar for August 10th at Road America, and has been submitted to the Roundel. Badger Bimmers committed to more proactively promote the race and invite club members.
Badger Bimmer Committees: Mustafa proposed forming 4 separate committees within Badger Bimmers. The intent is to promote member involvement and distribution of workload. Proposed committees are: a) Social, b) Club Race, c) Driving Events (non-competitive) and d) Fundraising. A motion to form the 4 committees was submitted and approved. Paul Sz. Volunteered to work on defining the committee roles and structure. Mike Clemens was voted in as Speed Events Coordinator and Club Race Committee chair, with reporting authority to BMW CCA. Darcy Yench was voted in as Driving Events Committee Chair.
New business:
Member Badges: The board authorized funding of a member badge similar to the club logo, with room for the member's name. A complete design will be developed.
Treffpunkt: The board approved advertising Treffpunkt in The Immer, and to manage registration and judging. The Audi club expressed their continued involvement.
Immer Editor/Web Master: The BMW CCA Newsletter Editor and Webmaster conference will be held in Tucson, AZ , May 25-26. Clarence and Greg are eligible to attend. Mustafa will research the history of what other benefits have been granted to the Editor and Web Master.
Spring Clean Up: Will be held at O'Reilly's Motor Car on May 11th. John Morgan will coordinate this with Mike Loos of O'Reilly's.
Road America Contract: Mike Clemens will coordinate with RA regarding Invoicing for the OctoberFAST deposit and will sign the contract with RA.
Donor Thank You's: Darcy has the donor list for the Winter Party and will prepare Thank You letters.
PCA Autocross: The Porsche Club's Autocross schedule for Miller Park is 06/09, 06/30, 08/04 and 09/15. Mary Medo will submit the schedule to the Immer after consultation with PCA.
Adjournment: Darcy adjourned the meeting at 8:40. The next meeting will be held on March 14th.at 7:00 PM. Location is TBD.
