Minutes for Badger Bimmer BMW Club Board Meeting

September 12, 2002
Attendance: Darcy Yench, John Morgan, Jay Schmidt, Mike Clemens, Joe Conway, Will Duffy, Paul Szedziewski, Chris Fredette, Steve Werner, don't remember who else was there….I didn't write it down.
Call to Order: 7:31 pm by Darcy. Joe took minutes
Secretary's Report: Approved by the board
Treasurer's Report: $25,761.99 in checking account Approved
Membership: _13_ new members, _802_ total members
Old Business:
OctoberFAST: 21 Novice, 25 Intermediate, 25 Advanced, 20 Instructors have signed up. We have 5 Friday only drivers and 29 total for Friday. We have 66 signed up for dinner on Saturday.
Ron Clarkson will be classroom instructors for O'FAST. Sue Anderson will do a classroom for Advanced – one on Sat and one on Sunday.
Chris Fredette and Joe Conway will head up the exercises for OFAST.
Fall Tour: Darcy has made plans for dinner when we arrive in LaCrosse at Nine Bridges. Joe will be putting something into the IMMER with a note to contact Darcy to let her know for sure if attending so she can let the restaurant know how many to expect.
Member Badges:. Coming SOON
Club Race: Made a few dollars. Pierre Collette won, 14 cars started the race. New MINI ran in 3 races and took three firsts.
Badger Bimmer Committees: Tabled until next time
Advertising Contracts: Discussed raising fees for advertising. Full page - $90., ½ Page - $60., ¼ page - $40. Garage Tech wants to run a ½ page ad in upcoming IMMERS
Budget Committee: Jay and Mike Stello will put together a budget process for the club. Will needs to supply the spreadsheets to the information.
Nominating Committee for 2003 officers: Paul had a draft of a letter to send out. Several people have indicated they will run for board positions.
New Business:
New Editor needed as Joe has taken a new job and is going back to school. He will put information in the next IMMER and continue doing it until we have someone else on board.
Holiday Party – should start planning it now. Need to find a place.
Should talk to Bob Clark about having some awards at autocross events next year for BMW classes.
Adjournment: Darcy adjourned the meeting at 8:13 pm. The next meeting will be held on Oct. 10th at 7:00 PM. Location is upstairs at the BBC on the NW corner of North Ave. and Farwell, Milwaukee, WI
