Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 7:30pm by Mustafa. This meeting was on September 21st and was held at Mini's on Green Bay Avenue.
Prior Meeting Minutes: August meeting minutes were approved.
Treasurer's Report: Will provided a report for the period of 8/10/00 to 9/21/00 and a check register going back to the beginning of 2000. Deposits of deposits totaling $15,405.77 were made along with disbursements of $7,454,74. The report and check register contained a number of correction for missed deposits and other things. Bob Clark gave Will a refund of $100 for the SCCA auto cross held at Milwaukee County Stadium. Will also reported that 2 checks were returned for insufficient funds – one for the Black Hawk drivers school and one for the club race. Will and CR will attempt to collect the money.

Old Business:
E Group mailing list – Jay reported that 36 people have signed up for our email distribution list. This list is used to send news of club events to members.
OctoberFast Driving School – Darcy reported we have 39 for Friday and 89 for Saturday/Sunday. There are still a number of openings for Friday and for the advanced/lapping group on the weekend. Noticed were posted on a number of BMW internet digest and the BMW news group by Mike and CR to let people now that some groups have openings. With the current registration we are about $2000 short of breaking even on the event. We will be looking for sponsorship for the tee shirts. Paul said that a film crew from channel 6 wanted to attend the event and shot some film that might we used on the air. We discussed the pros and cons of having the "press" at the event and in the end voted to allow the crew to attend as long as they we escorted at all times, we would receive a copy of whatever was tapped and that the tape was being made for promotional purposes.
Fall Tour – Mary reported that 7 people had signed up for the fall tour. Mike will prepare the maps and mail them to Clarence who will distribute to the those attending the event. The starting point is at Hardys at I94 and 83.
New business
Winter Driving School – Brian reported that the people who run the winter driving school will attend the November board meeting to discuss the school. Dave from Wisconsin Auto Sports Group will attend. The school will be somewhat like our MGA car control clinic but will take place on a frozen lake. The school will take place on a Saturday and a auto cross type event will be run on Sunday. The school on Saturday will be run for our club and auto cross on Sunday is one of the normal events run Wisconsin Auto Sports Group. The school will probably we held in January or February. A primary date and a backup date will be set later. We assume that helmets will be optional for the school and the insurance will be setup for a "low" speed event.
Holiday Party – The party this year will be at the Astor hotel (same as last year) and will probably be held on the Saturday before Super Bowl weekend – that's the 20th of January.
Officer Nomination Committee – Mustafa will begin the process of selecting the nominating committee for the election of officers. If you are interested in being on the committee or running for an office or the board let Mustafa know.
2001 Black Hawk Driving School – Mary will try to get a date for a 2 day weekend school reserved. We may also try to get a one day lapping date like we had this year. The lapping day would be on a weekday.
Adjournment: Mustafa adjourned the meeting at 8:30. The next meeting will be held on October 12th at Mini's.
