1. Treffpunkt
We have 20 cars registered and expect about 20 more by the time of the show. Trophies have been ordered: Participation ribbons for all entrants, Judges awards (Best of Show, second place, third place), People's Choice awards (Best of show, one award for each of four other categories). The Board decided to pay for all the awards except the Best of Show-People's Choice which is sponsored and paid for by The Little Car Shop. Thanks Bob and Jenny.
A sample of the t-shirt was on display and will need some modifications because sponsorship is in question. Mustafa will call Concours Motors and verify their sponsorship for shirts and caps.
We need HELP!
People to stage cars on concour grounds
Helpers for registration and admissions
Volunteers to sell raffle tickets (1 for $1 or 6 for $5)
Contact Brad Radcliffe (414-258-7879) or Clarence Behrend ( cobbie@nconnect.net or 414-335-0454) if you will help. Volunteers meet in the beer tent at 8:30. Door prizes include cool stuff from National (a watch, sweatshirt, a hat, coffee mug), rides at Road America during OctoberFAST, one entry to the MGA Handling School, two 2-day passes to the Kettle Moraine Jazz Festival (see David Sanborn and many others free - a $120 value), a helicopter ride, and much,
much more.
Judges are: Alice Preston (Brooks Stevens Auto Museum), Gaylen
Morgan (Rainbow Hospice), Bob Dickey (Little Car Shop), Darcy Yench (BMW Club)
and Chris Fredette (BMW Club).

2.Rally (Pete) June 12th
The projected budget to run the rally is $300. Most of the expense is due to the cost of plaques and the snacks and beverages that will be provided. All plans are set and we're ready for a FUN day.

3.MGA Car Control Clinic (Mike Daines) July 10
This year we have to enter by a different gate (a map will be sent to participants) to route us through unsecured areas. We will have the same wide open spaces' as we had last year and things will run much the same. There are already 21 entries! It's filling up fast. Breakfast and lunch (included in the price) will be provided by LaBoulangerie. If you were there last year, you know that the food alone was the price of admission! Thanks Keith.

4.Drivers' School at Blackhawk (Larry) August 21st and 22nd.
We have five entries so far (12 by the following Saturday), and several instructors have already committed. Classroom instruction will be provided by Eric Pilhofer, a national instructor with the Quattro Club and a heck of a nice guy. Club instructors should contact Larry (414-536-35369 or larry.boyer@gasai.com ) soon. A drivers' meetings will be held at the Holiday Inn in South
Beloit on Friday night and Saturday morning at the track.

5.OctoberFAST (John) October 15th, 16th, and 17th.
Plans are going okay. There was a question of whether or not to
accept applications from drivers of VW's. Why not?

6.Logo - June 15th is the deadline for submissions.

7.Incorporation (C.R.)
It will cost $167 to renew. C.R. is working on completing the necessary paperwork.

8.IM Racing sponsorship (Erik)
Erik presented a proposal and asked for $2000 each for two cars. Erik and John mentioned that they have had a positive influence in the Club by providing rides in the 07 car at OctoberFAST, bringing more talent to the instructor pool, providing enjoyment for Club members who follow their exploits, and substantially increasing the profits from OctoberFAST. In return for the Club's sponsorship, John and Erik offered to give crew passes to five interested Club members for most of the events they enter, to display the Club's website address on the windshield banner, and to display "BMW CCA 1-800-878-9292" on the C-Pillars. (It was not clear if the decals would be displayed on both cars of one of the cars.)
The Board decided (5 yes and 2 abstain) to sponsor IM Racing for the coming season by giving them $3000 ($1500 for each car.)

9.Poker Run (Matt)
Matt showed a small plastic folder ($1 each) that would hold and id card and has sleeves for 'poker' cards. The members liked the folder and when we're a little more organized, we'll probably order some. We need to figure out how to design and print 120 decks of cards that would be specific to our Poker Run. Matt and Mustafa will work on it. Matt needs someone from each of the five regions to contact local establishments (ice cream shops, restaurants, stores...) that will be check points' for the poker run participants. Contact him and get involved: 414-633-9836 or mdnjcb@execpc.com

New Business

1.Autocross (Bob Clark)
Bob told us of several ways to have an autocross (There is growing interest among Club members.) including holding our own, hooking up with another car club like Porsche or Saab, or getting a group to pre-register for an SCCA autocross. SCCA will create a category for our Club if we have
three cars pre-registered. Most clubs provide instruction and instructors for new autocrossers. Since we're not ready to put on our own, we will promote two autocrosses this summer held by two other groups. Mary will contact the Milwaukee Region PCA and Bob will contact SCCA to ascertain their interest in having a bunch of neophyte BMW autocrossers at one of their upcoming events. We're looking at June 20 with the Porsche Club and September 19th with SCCA. Both events are at Milwaukee County Stadium. Contact Bob Clark if you have questions: 414-962-0374 or bobclark@execpc.com

2.Wash and Polish (Mustafa)
Last year's Wash and Polish, held in the spring, was fun for the few people who attended. Discussion centered around combining a cleaning session and a tech session on August 7th. Mary will make a few calls to see if we can line up a place and car guru.

3.Edelweiss Cruise (Mustafa)
Although we enjoyed the dinner cruise last summer, we want to be able to move about the ship more, so we will try to set up a cocktail cruise in late August. Mustafa will contact the Edelweiss' Cruise Director.

4.Annual Picnic
The picnic will be held at Road America on July 25th, the last day of the BRIC (the Brian Redmon International Challenge) Club member's admission price to the BRIC on Sunday ($30) will be refunded. Mustafa will make preliminary plans.

5.Fall Color Tour (Mary)
In an effort to add some more non-race, family oriented, outside-Milwaukee events to our calendar, Mary will make preliminary plans for Fall Tour in late October. Contact Mary if you have any nifty ideas: 414-332-03591 or mmedo@execpc.com

6.Octoberfest (Darcy)
Darcy asked for volunteers to help write a proposal for hosting O'Fest in 2005. Mustafa, John, and Erik volunteered. Someone volunteered Jenny!

7.Humphrey IMAX Dome Theater (Larry)
Larry has contacted Lynn Hamilton, the IMAX director, about bringing 275 of our close friends (this includes families) to see 'Super Speedway.' We can bring our cars and line up some of them in front of the Milwaukee Museum. You could even wear your driver's suit if you wanted to! We're thinking the first or second weekend after OctoberFAST. Stay tuned for more information.

8.Web Page (Greg)
Greg suggested that it would be good if we could have the website and Immer project the same image and give the same information. He will work with Clarence to see what can be done.

The meeting was adjourned at 9:45. Wow, that was a long one! It was actually very organized and moved right along. We just had lots to discuss.
