Minutes for Badger Bimmer BMW Club Board Meeting
Calderone Club – 3rd Street Downtown
April 10, 2003

Attendance: Jeff Joy, Darcy Yench, Paul Szedziewski, Steve Werner, John Lofgren, David Schnitzer, Mustafa Emir, Greg Smith, Don Gawronski, Jeff Moody, Sarah Erdmann, Bob Clark and Laura Emir

Call to Order: 7:20 pm by Jeff Joy

Secretary's Report:  Approved

Treasurer's Report:  $ 36,376.96 Approved

Membership: 14 new members,  835 total members Letters are going out to new members with stickers

Old Business:

IMMER: Due date for articles is Friday, April 11, 2003 as per the editor.   Blackhawk Registration Form will be in this issue. New board members intro will also be in. Account with the printer for the IMMER postage has been set up.

Blackhawk First event Darcy will do registration.  Mary will do registration for the second one.  Darcy will check into the Insurance certificates for Blackhawk. Road America is handled through RA. Volunteers are needed to help with clean teching cars and other duties.

Paul - Gingerman on June 16th, a Monday 15 prople have contacted about the event.  Checks and registration forms from 5 have been received. All info need to be to Paul for a confirmed spot.  Then the event will be opened to others.

Car Control Clinic   Chris Fredette has secured the State Fair Park parking lot for our CCC. The cost will be $30.00 per entrant. We are encouraging participants between 16-18 to attend. The date is July 13th, the Sunday after our first BHF date. Participants are urded to bring umbrellas, water and their own lunches.  There are plenty of places in the area for lunch as well.  Helpers are needed for instructing and setting cones, etc.

Cones – Steve didn't order them yet.  Need receipt information from where we ordered them last year.  Will still has this information and rest of banking stuff.  Jeff will contact Will about getting the stuff to David and the information needed to Steve to order the cones.

Sarah - Annual Dinner – has list of caterers and will meet with Leslie Friday, 4/11 to go over them for menu selection.

Chris Schuh - tech session will use our safety/inspection sheets to concentrate on getting DE cars into shape as a basis for his tech event with us CNS Motorsports, Sat, May 31st, Nominal cost if any. Couple of hours.

Saturday, May 3, 11:00 AM - Wash, Polish, Wax Party at O'Reilly's Motorcars 324 West Cherry Street

vp@badgerbimmers.org   We will be providing snacks and soda.  Bring your cleaning and polishing supplies. There are washing facilities available to us to use.  Come one come all and share your car stories while getting that car in tip top shape for our upcoming events.

OFAST:  Kevin Rogers - account manager for Yokohama Tire corporation - use some of the YTC marketing Funds to sponsor the baseball caps this year.  We are again looking for volunteers to help in registration, clean teching cars before they go out on the track and the exercise area. New Business:

Autocross –Paul asked for board approval for Badger Bimmers to sponsor the WAI autocross on June 29th for a cost to the chapter of $250.00. This would entitle all BB members to membership to WAI for the day and $20.00 entry fee for the event. Our logo would go on all of the trophies.  We also discussed using the coffee mugs we have left and putting on a tag (cost about $1.00/each) for BB participants.  Board approved.  Bob Clark talked getting together the former autoXers that used to participate in our events and about contacting them to participate in this event.

Driving Events Committee:  Aaron Ford and Willie Yeo have emailed about helping with the committee.  Other people who will serve on the committee will be Jeff Joy, Mike Clemens, Paul S, Chris Fredette. Sarah Erdman, Mary Medo and Darcy Yench. We will have a meeting on Tuesday, April 22nd at Mike Clemens work place, VISA in Brookfield.  Mike will email directions to all of the committee. Planning on meeting at 7:00 pm.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:33 pm.  The next meeting will be held on May 8th at the Calderone Club downtown on 842 N. Old World 3rd St. at 7 pm.  Come and join us.  Board meetings are open to ALL MEMBERS!
